Focus on your overall wellness this fall to avoid burnout!
Sep 24, 2024
It's nice for the seasons to change and things to be cooler, but while we're all getting busier with holidays, growing businesses, our families, and everything else life throws at us, be sure to take time to focus on the various dimensions of your well-being. This will keep you loving what you do, avoiding burnout, and feeling like your best self for your clients!
There are many categories of health, and you can choose and prioritize which ones mean the most to you and help you feel your best! A little time for each will make big changes in your life!
Get organized:
Staying organized makes a HUGE difference in how you feel each day! Instead of feeling messy, scrambling to remember appointments, or wondering where things are when you need them, creating little organizational habits will help you always feel prepared—which will automatically help you feel like a successful business owner! Here are some tips we suggest:
- Use a calendar/planner/date book; be sure you can write out the months AND the days! You can use this to stay organized but also to look back for important information.
- Create a morning and evening routine; this trains our brains and our bodies for consistency and helps us manage stress.
- Be sure to write things down or make reminders in your phone—we all are older and have so much going on; don't put pressure on yourself expecting yourself to remember details and dates.
- Keep receipts and write down expenses; consider using QuickBooks or making a document or Excel sheet to organize your business and personal finances.
- Keep important papers and documents organized in a folder, drawer, or office space so you know where they are when you need them.
- Keep important emails, organize them, and even keep passwords and other logins in one place for easy access.
A few categories of health and wellness:
- Physical fitness/body care
- Financial health and budgeting
- Spiritual health or religious faith
- Mental and emotional health
- Social health, friendships, and relationships
- Work/occupational health
Consider writing down a few goals for two or three of the above and see how small changes start to really help you feel more in control of things.
Remember to manage your life, don't let it manage you!
