Lately, many of our newer spray tan partners have been sharing questions based on their customers' responses. Customer feedback is a valuable part of learning and understanding how our product works across different skin types and needs—this is part of the beauty of being a beauty business owner.
I want to support your confidence in using our products while ensuring you understand their role in enhancing, not changing, your clients’ natural beauty. Occasionally, you may encounter a client who wants to go super dark, but their base color is too pale to achieve the level of darkness they desire. In these cases, it's essential to explain that our product works by reacting to their skin tone, aiming for a natural fade. If you go too dark, areas like the feet and hands, where skin cells turn over more quickly, might look paler sooner, creating a noticeable contrast.
Encourage your clients to opt for a more natural shade, which generally results in a prettier fade and a less jarring difference on hands and feet. However, if a client is set on going darker, let them know the potential side effects and consider upselling products that help maintain an even tan. If they don’t achieve the darkness they want, suggest additional products that can enhance their tan, but remind them that the goal is to accentuate their natural self.
